Hello from North West Ohio
Hi... ...it's cold in N.W. Ohio right now and it's only January, but I'm starting to get the bug to garden...I'm an old school SFG, but I haven't used it for years, and I decided to SFG this coming season because it was so successful the last time I tried it...looking forward to learning new things.

Hi tommyturkey and welcome to the Forum!
I used (and loved) the original SFG method, and I've got to tell you that I initially had heart burn with this "All New" method. So I converted just one box to an "All New" box. The original method was really really good, but once I "bought into" the "All New" method I found out it is FANTASTIC.
It has been well worth my effort to convert.

I have seen women looking at jewelry ads with a misty eye and one hand resting on the heart, and I only know what they're feeling because that's how I read the seed catalogs in January - Barbara Kingsolver - Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

Yes its cold! I'm down here in central Ohio with a 3 degree temp this morning.
You picked the right place to learn and meet plenty of friendly people. Do you have a copy of the All New Square Foot Gardening book? Be sure to get a hold of it and read up on the new and improved methods. If you notice the Hover area up there in the upper left side of your screen, click on the green nubs you will see lots of topics to give you a quick jump start.
There is lots of great information on this site to compliment your gardening adventure. Glad to have you join us. Look forward to your questions and comments. Hope to see you around!
