Brocolli
I have huge broccoli plants with thick stems and large, beautiful leaves. ..but no broccoli even forming yet. I followed the SFG guide book, used Mel's Mix and have watered daily. This is my first year doing SFG. Any suggestions? I planted some from seeds and bought a few transplants. They have been in the ground since the end of August/first of Sept. My Romaine lettuce and Sugar Peas are doing great!

Re: Brocolli
According to this recommendation, you may be getting prematurely anxious:
Plus, broccoli doesn't do much when temps are 85+. There's nothing else to do except keep on doing what you're doing. It's hard; isn't it?!
Approximate weeks to harvest:
# Broccoli seeds will take 11 to 15 weeks, but sometimes up to 20 weeks.
# Broccoli seedlings will take 8 to 12 weeks from transplant until harvest time, depending on the variety.

Tiny broccoli found this AM
We have had constant rain for the last couple of days. As a result, I haven't been to the garden at all. This morning I couldn't stand it any longer. I went to my largest broccoli plants and peered into the inner leaves. There were tiny broccoli inside each of them! I guess you were right....I was just over anxious. Seeing the huge stalks and healthy leaves, I just couldn't imagine why I wouldn't have broccoli. thanks for your prompt response. I feel much better now.
