Funny looking corn Empty Funny looking corn

What's up with my corn?

The corn is about 3 feet high and looks like wheat at the top, but it's green. Does that make sense? Doesn't look like I would imagine corn to look like at this stage. There are only about 8 stalks so I wasn't expecting real corn by the fall, but this is not what I was expecting at all.

Hope all are harvesting lots in their gardens!
