Saving seeds from the grocery
I just got thru eating the most wonderful cantalope!
Can I save and plant the seeds? I have no idea where it was raised, no tag on the fruit and the store won't tell you where it came from.
Also, how about other veg. at the store? peppers, toms. watermelons, etc.
I've never thought about saving seeds before.
Thanks, Jo

Re: Saving seeds from the grocery
It is worth trying to save the seeds if you have enjoyed the cantalope, tomato, or whatever, although I would expect that most of them are hybryds (sp) and may not produce the same result or even may not germinate. But it is interesting trying. Let us know if you have any good results in the future.
