I am excited! I made it into the Master Gardener Program. We start in the Fall, with classes. I can hardly wait. It was my treat to myself for getting two kids into school. Just had to brag.

Brag away, I think that is very cool if I were able to do the volunteer hours I would do it too. Let us know how it goes.

cheers Patty From Yorktown, so happy for you.

Here's hoping I am accepted for our MG program that starts mid January. So far our county has been able to maintain it's extension service.

Hi,

Tomorrow is our Master Gardener Graduation. I made it through! The classes have been great. I am very pleased to have taken them. We have gone on some really cool field trips. I never knew about the places, even after living here for 10 years. I have done well on the tests. In 120 questions I only got 5 wrong. 2 questions on grass and pesticides got me, but that should not come as a surprise as I am not interested in either of those topics. Next up is 50 hours of volunteer time. That should go quickly.

Congratulations Patty, good for you! Do you get to pick where you volunteer, or are you told where to go?

I get to pick where I volunteer. The MG also want me to be "in charge" of something. I chose Safety Town. They have plenty of projects that use all kinds of skill sets. I can teach, answer phones, weed and the list goes on. It should be fun.

That's the great thing about MG volunteer hours, they go by so quickly because you can also choose to involve other hobbies or things that you like. Oh, and go Class of 2011!
