Another opportunity?

Hey all,

I just wanted to put something out there and see who is willing to run with it. Several of our regions don't currently have "hosts." Some of those regions are missing out on some of the fun the rest of us have locally. I can only imagine those of you living in those regions would like to do something about that!

Those of us that are currently hosts are a pretty social bunch. We like to start topics for discussion. We also love to think up ideas for recurring themes that can cross regions but keep a local flavor. For example...the first of the month update threads. Some regions don't have that because they don't have a host. I wouldn't let that stop me if I wanted to form some friendships within my region.

If you see something you like, take it to your region, too. Don't sit and wait for the activity to find you, make it happen in your region for yourself.....and others that may be a little shy. I love people flying around and posting in my region. I love the socializing on a little more local level. I love the fact that we are getting to know each other, getting to know where each other lives, and getting to know some more specific interests our neighbors have. Don't miss out on that if you're a more social type of person. I also love the fact that I have people further localizing OUR region, too. We have some calendars and weather reports that are pretty local now. We also have a monthly update thread that is getting more localized, too. People saw a need to break our region down a bit more, and someone just took the ball and ran with it. I know someone will do something about that in a region currently without a host.
