I'm confused about frost-vs-freeze
I went to weather.com and typed in my zip in the gardening section. These are my results for my frost risk and freeze risk for the next week or so.
I guess what I'm confused about is how my freeze risk is low or moderate when my frost risk is none. Wouldn't it frost first? What's the difference when it comes to gardening and protecting plants regarding a frost or freeze?
ETA: Right now I have some broccoli, spinach, lettuce & radishes in the garden...oh and my nantes carrots.

Re: I'm confused about frost-vs-freeze
Frost is the layer of ice crystals that form on solid surfaces. A frost forms when the surface temp is below the dew point (temp at which water vapor will form) and below freezing while the air temperatures are higher than that of the surface.
A freeze is when air temperature fall at or below freezing which is 32°F.
Does this help?

It truly can be confusing!! Give this a read ~~~> Frost or Freeze
it has to do with temperature AND atmospheric moisture.
