Hello from SW Idaho
Chuck m here. Re starting my square foot gardening. Used to do some 20+ years ago. I am retiring in 26 days, but who's counting. I don't have much area, but I will make the most of it. I just need to sit down and plan what to grow.
Everyone enjoy your gardens and don't make work out of if. Gardens are a place to unwind and relax.

Hiya Chuck, welcome to the forum. There's some folks in eastern WA (similar climate) that will be glad to see you here. SFG 20+ years ago? That was in the last century! Things have changed...a lot! Get the ALL NEW SFG book to learn how easy gardening has become, and still possible in a small space.
Any chance you're near Caldwell? I have a funny story about that town. Congrats on retiring; you'll soon be a one digit midget!

Boffer, Next door, nampa. I used to watch square foot gardening on TV. It sure seems that tactics have changed.

They sure have. Are you going to be able to start a box for spring? Or would it be more practical to start in late summer for a fall/winter harvest?
Your advice is good: chill...relax...enjoy. You won't starve to death if a plant dies!
