my first harvest
I was able to pick one serving of spinach for the first time. I have never had home grown spinach before and it didn't have that bitter tast you can get from store bought. This may sound silly but I had a smile on my face and you would have thought I had won the lottery.

Yummy!
I probably wouldn't have made it to the house to get the camera! I would have stood in the garden and eaten it all up right there!!!

Re: my first harvest
I've picked enough spinach for one or two bites, more of a taste testing, it's great isn't it. I love to sit out there at my very own salad bar and nibble broccoli and lettuce, its the best.
Re: my first harvest
Its been awhile sense I posted. I have been having salad almost eveyday, I have had about a dozen strawberrys. Onions are getting big. banana squash plants are starting to grow fast. tomatoe plants are getting big. I have a few bell peppers that are about the size of grapes so far. sun flowers are about 7 feet tall but no flowers yet. I have seen quite a few lady bugs in the garden apple tree has leaves and so does the pomagranet tree and fig tree. grape vines have leaves now but are growing slow. I cant believe how good the lettuce taste, not bitter like when I would get it from the store. I have romaine and butterhead and spinach I have one vine of sugar snap peas that have about 5 pods on it so far. watermelon and cantalope are just now sprouting

Glad to see you back ModelAMan, also very happy that your garden is doing so much better after your rocky start.
