Buckeye waves hello!
Hi everyone!
I'm going to sneak out of the shadows and introduce myself I've been lurking around the forum for a while now and am ready to jump in and make comments here and there so thought I should introduce myself.
This year will be my second year having a garden, in 09 I read Mel's book, but had already had tilled up a patch in my back yard so I squared it off and went with it. My results weren't that great and I lost my gusto early on, my soil is clay and full of rocks and very hard to work with. I vowed that next time I would do it right!
Last summer I was busy planning my wedding and decided to skip planting a garden, but this year I am ready to go! I have my boxes built, purchased my peat, vermi, and 2 of my 5 composts, I have sources for the rest. My seeds are germinating in their peat pots and my layout is planned. I can't wait to share my successes (and failures) with everyone!
I have 2 sons aged 6 and 3 who are equally eager to get dirty and learn. Thanks to everyone for the wealth of knowledge you've provided me already and I can't wait to learn more!
See you around the forum!

Re: Buckeye waves hello!
Well from one #1 seed to another, welcome aboard. Too bad neither of us is still playing basketball this year.
We love pictures, and it's great you are starting the right way from day one this year. You won't be sorry.
No questions are too simplistic here, and we are always willing to help guide you in your SFG lifestyle.
Congrats on the wedding. Hope to hear more from you!

Diana
How nice that you have come out of the shadows and joined us. We are glad you are here!
Glad your Mel's Mix is on its way to being completed, which is a good thing since your seedlings are already up.
You and the boys really have a great time ahead of you. Enjoy!

Hi Diana! I grew up in Westerville, so even though I've lived in Cincinnati for more than half my life, I still bleed scarlet & grey.
Welcome and we're thrilled to have you!

Thanks everyone!
@BBGardener, don't even start with the basketball, lol! Only time we ever lose is when I put money on a game. Never again... I'll be sure to follow up with pictures as soon as I get my beds set up.
@Nancy, thanks for the welcome. I'm from Mt. Vernon originally so right down the road from Westerville. Go Bucks!
@Furbalsmom, Thanks, none are poking their heads out yet but I just built my light stand so I am ready for them to pop up any day now. Wish me luck!
@Madnicmom, thanks a bunch Just from lurking I can see what a supportive community this is. Happy to be a part of it.
