Brussels Sprouts? Empty Brussels Sprouts?

Post  AndreaHall 2/25/2011, 1:25 pm

I did a bit of research on the forums (not much, I admit!), and didn't find the answer to my question. Will brussels sprouts do well in this region? I'm thinking it doesn't get cold enough here, but I'm not sure. If they do grow, when is the best time to plant them?

Thanks in advance! Smile

Thank you! But that is not what I wanted to hear!!! Maybe I'll just go ahead and plant them anyway, since I bought the seed already and I have space.

I'll definitely save that though, great resource. Thanks again Smile

I to have bought some seeds and I am also going to plant them anyway and see what happens. some of the box stores sell some already growing in pots in our parts of the valley (san fernando valley) so I am guessing it will work for us.

I show February as the last planting date for brussel sprouts in So Cal but it has been such a cool Spring who knows. Might as well try if you have the room.
