cold temps & raised beds.

I have garlic one of my raised beds. How does the cold temps effect the plants in the raised bed? There is mulch on top of the beds not on the sides?

Raised beds tend to warm faster in the spring. I bet your garlic is gonna love it! When it gets a bit warmer start removing some (not all) of the mulch as the garlic will start cell division early in cooler temps and you want the shoots to get the sun. When it truly warms up remove all the mulch. Happy gardening! sunny

I would add that the temperature of the soil in your TT (table top) will fluctuate more than one resting on the ground....like a bridge in icy weather. However, if you were just talking about a normal raised bed that sits on the ground, any temperature effect will be minimal compared to surrounding soil.
