Where are you getting your Seeds? Empty Where are you getting your Seeds?

I am sitting here on this very cold January afternoon leafing through seed catalog after catalog and have come to realize that I keep coming back to just one catalog for all of my needs this year. mI used to be the kind of gardner that just bought seeds from walmart or local big box garden center not really giving any thought to where the seeds came from. but over the last couple of years I have been trending torward buying more Hierloom seeds and have decided this year my Gardens will be completely planted with Hierloom seeds. That brings me back to all of these catalogs. So many of the seeds and plants they offer have been Geneticly altered and that means you have to come back to them next year if you want more seeds. I have found so many Great varieties of Hieloom seeds I just don't see the need to pay someone else for my seeds every year. SO the one catalog I keep coming back to is the Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds out of Mansfield Missouri. www.rareseeds.com. I am so excited by all of the varieties I have found of eggplants, cucumbers, and squashes it is unbelievable. I am so ready fro spring to get here and to be able to get my hands dirty. For now, however I will set here by the fire and plan out what lucky square will get to have what plants and dream of my gardens to come!!! Be blessed everyone and happy gardening where ever you are.

1okiedad:

Welcome to the SFG Forum.

Friday I got my seed order from Baker Creek and they apoligized for it taking so long to send my order to me as they have been getting flooded with orders (it took three days). So if you wait to put your order in they may be out of some things - so hurry!

God Bless, Ward and Mary
