Seed catalogs are pouring in!!!
Three of them in the last 5 days!!!!!!!!!!
And maybe, just maybe, after the first of the year, I'll have time to come back here! I think of all of you daily - no kidding!

Re: Seed catalogs are pouring in!!!
Meeting Chopper was so great! I really can't complain about business being so good, but I do miss being here! But, just like Ahnold, I'll be back......mwuh huh huh!
And....we are closed for FOUR DAYS this week - Friday through Monday!
Taking the train to New Jersey and reading me some seed catalogs!!!!
and I think I am really getting a small but real, unheated greenhouse, to extend my season a little bit.....is it possible that life can really be this good?

Howdy Camprn:
I Googled "garden catalogs" and found a site that listed 43 seed catalogs ready for the picking. Some were small "Pop and Mom" that were mostly heirlooms with a few listings and some were "biggies". Worth a visit.
God Bless, Ward and Mary.

I actually googled the exact same thing earlier and still had the window open, so here's the site:

Howdy Folks:
Now if someone will send me an extra two or three hundred dollars I can buy the seeds that I have highlighted in the catalogs! Oh yeah and enough extra to build 10 or 15 new SFGs and the Mel's Mix to put them in and, and, and....

Re: Seed catalogs are pouring in!!!
Seed companies don't play fair with their catalogues. Everything looks wonderful, and I don't have room for it all. Shortening my want list is hard work...2011 is gonna be so good... ![]() |

Re: Seed catalogs are pouring in!!!
I feel your pain. Since returning to the States last year, I needed, if you'll excuse the pun, "seed money", to start a brand new garden this coming year.

Too bad we hadn't "met" a couple of years ago, Kim...I would have taken all your garden stuff off your hands before you went back Stateside!

Slewi,
I ordered some catalogs back in September/October and they are just now arriving.
Most Spring catalogs aren't mailed out until Dec or Jan.
How long ago did you order them? :?:

Re: Seed catalogs are pouring in!!!
I got five in today's mail but didn't pick up the mail yesterday.
Its such fun to go thru them and make out tentative orders that I'll have to change a few times before I get the final one ready.
I had rec'd only two other ones in December.

I just got a half dozen of them today! It's kinda bad because I started planning for Spring back in the Fall. Now there are so many more things I want to get!!

Sorry LaFee, because the government was moving us, I was able to bring everything with me from Germany. While I was there I had to go with container gardening.
