Tomatoes in the Pacific NorthWest
How are those of us in Washington and Oregon doing with tomatoes this year? I harvested ONE Early Girl a couple of weeks ago and now my first Beefmaster is getting close. I have lots of tomatoes, but they are small and green. Even with 13 tomato plants, I fear there will be no tomato sandwiches this year.

Re: Tomatoes in the Pacific NorthWest
On Saturday, out of at least 10 very healthy tomato plants, I had 3 Brandywine tomatoes that were pinkish. The deer took a big bite out of one. I ate the other half, but it wasn't sweet yet. So I'm down to 2.
With the lows in the 40's and highs in the 60's, it doesn't look good for more red ones.

I have picked 2 San Marzano and 4 Cherry tomatoes (they were not fully red), still no rain since July 3rd. I have 15 heirloom plants in two beds and I don't think I will be canning tomatoes this year. I am hoping for warmer nights and days instead of clouds that don't produce rain. Good Luck to everyone who lives in the PNW!
