2010 Pacific Northwest Tomato Tasting
My hat is off to Hannah of "This Garden is Illegal", a blog about her traditional garden in Ohio. I have shown a total lack of class and copied her tomato tasting guidelines.
The 2010 list of tomatoes growing in my garden with links to individual tastings are here http://musicofrain.wordpress.com/2010/08/18/tomato-tasting-2010/
The first tomato available for me to pluck and examine is Siletz. There is a link on the tasting page or you can link here
http://musicofrain.wordpress.com/2010/08/18/siletz-debs-pnw-tomato-tasting/
I am excited to see how the rest of us are doing in this really BAD tomato year.
If those of you from everywhere else add a score card on the tasting, please include a little bit about where you are from and what kind of tomato growing year you have had as well as your results.
This is the score-card from Hanna.
A line or two about why you chose to grow this tomato, when the first one came ripe, etc.
The seed companies name and their description of your tomato (if available)
Eye Appeal (Hanna calls this, "The Beauty Pagent")
Tasting
Finally, let us know how you feel about growing this tomato next year.

Oregon Spring
It probably could have used another sunny day, but the sun is not scheduled to shine in the PNW again for about another week.
Without further fanfare; here is my test taste of Oregon Spring.
