Best way to showcase!
We held a garage sale on Saturday, and lots of people came by and admired our SFG, which is right by the side of the driveway. Some of the folks are already going SFG, but most of them were staring, pointing fingers and asking lots of questions.
One well aged gentleman was highly skeptical about the watermelons... "Look at it, growing right up, ain't they? Whatcha gonna do when they swell?" I explained that those are Sugar Babies, miniature variety.
All in all, I was very proud of my garden, and glad that I could give other people some ideas. Some of them were very interested.
I think the best way to advertise/showcase your SFG is a garage sale nearby .
I also posted some of my gardening photos on a Russian forum (I am a native Russian speaker), and some of my friends are very interested. I did a search, and turns out Mel published his books in Russian already, so I referred them to those books. One of my friends said "I am totally doing this next year".
Here is a lovely photo of my 2 month old SFG bathing in the early morning sun... I love it, folks, just love it!

What a great way to "spread" SFG!
Your gardens look great!!
I have pumpkin vines growing up my trellis along with my cucumbers - so far only one pumpkin but several cucumbers. In any case so much fun and easy!
Enjoy.
Happy Gardening Everyone....

Very clever. Too bad there is no commission! Beautiful garden and it is fun, isn't it? I just had to finally add a sling to my pumpkin today, it grew big FAST! I just used a plastic shopping bag - so far so good.
Re: Best way to showcase!
I love your garden! I have convinced hubby I need a SFG and he agrees and is even coming up with plans that will make it easier with my disabilities. I expect that this fall with cooler weather we will be clearing a place and getting my boxes ready.
Re: Best way to showcase!
Isn't it funny how the old row farmers are so unwilling to try anything new. My uncle in his late 70's came by to look at my garden yesterday. He also said my watermelon (one of which is about the size of a baseball right now) will never make it growing like that. I just smiled and told him we'll see.

Re: Best way to showcase!
Posting update: my watermelon #1 has reached 8" in diameter, and is still growing, though not as rapidly as before. So far it hasn't even pulled the nylon netting down, maybe just slightly. It's holding on and is looking very enticingly. We are rooting for it, and checking on it regularly. So far so good.
