Plants are slightly yellow

I just planted my first square foot garden this year and am enjoying how easy it is. I do have one concern that my plants are slightly yellowish. What may I be missing in the soil. (I did the Mel's mix the best I could)

Congrats on your 1st SFG! I would suggest testing your soil. It will tell you a few things you will want to know, your soil pH and the nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium levels. It's a good place to start. Once you know what you are missing then you can add what you need.

I am a first timer too. All my sprouts came out beautiful, but then within 2-3 weeks turned yellow and kinda stuck in their growth rate. I first read somewhere that beans do that, until root system develops, but no, all other plants started doing the same thing exactly. So I bought some organic vegetable food, and fish emulsion, and gave them a good feeding. I saw green literally overnight. Go ahead and give them at least a fish emulsion wash. They do 1 tsp per gallon of water, and that is enough for 50 sq ft, which is enough for three 4x4 boxes. Everything started beaming upwards immediately after the feed.
