Does wow do anything for anybody else?  My message showed up blank.  Couldn't get it to work in the old editor either.

Not for me.  By default the yellow box shows up and I cannot put my curser in the white space underneath to type so end up in here.  
Unless I switch editor modes and lose the yellow box and have the HTML tags instead like this.

It's working for me across ff, ie, chrome. When I hit the old green quote button it takes me to the editor, and the quote and editor look like this:
