A little introduction
Hi everyone, I joined up not too long ago but never really introduced myself...
Bit shy...
I am in zone 2b, Saskatchewan, Canada and we have had a terrible spring this year. First of all there was a lack of any water... then we got hit overtime with lots of rain and cooler weather. I think we are on a beginning of a better streak now.... hoping.
We just moved in to our house in Feb. and there was a little spot that was set up for a garden (which I heard they did not use in the past because it did not work very well). I have always wanted a raised garden and then came across something on you tube about SFG. That was my answer!
I couldn't really afford too much so it is a bit mickey mouse at the moment (yes I have weeds in my beds as I had to use my soil also). I lucked out after when a friend had some ground cloth that she gave me so I used it for the isles.
I had a bunch of lumber from the new house the old owners had left behind and I had some from what I am going to use to build my own green house once I find an easy design.
I started most of my plants from seed (yay me) and only bought some things. I ended up being broke more over the trees that we had purchased and still have to go in to the ground mind you.
So before I bring on the pics... I just wanted to thank you all for all the valuable information that you have given me. I have also purchased Mel's book and have read it now twice. (just making sure I have not missed anything the first time)
Now off to learn how to put pics in the post...
