um..new from Long Island..again
Am I in the right spot (regionally I mean?)
Got a tip from someone on the NE board and found out I am in zone 6b.
Shielding eyes and peering in....Anyone here from Long Island?

Re: um..new from Long Island..again
hi again Hookilau... it's me-the troublemaker (and LI native)-again... If I'm not mistaken, you're the first Long Islander posting here (though I may be wrong).
I'd read somewhere that the regions are not 'set in stone' and you should see which region fits your specific climate better. It's okay to read/post in whichever region makes sense to you - or keep track of more than one region. I'd always thought LI was more similar in climate to the Jersey shore than to Massachusetts or Maine, for example... And here in CO on the east side of the Rockies, I read both the Mountain West and the Northern and Central Midwest, as I find aspects of both are appropriate for me. (And as you can see, I have no compunction about 'invading' another region, if I think I can add something to the conversation.)

Hey friend, howareya?
Well, now, this is embarrassing
I think I'm lost, Wyld....geography wasn't one of my best subjects.
Looks like I'm going to have to do some more lurkin' till I figure out where I geographically fit in huh?
I guess I'll poke around the whole place and see what happens...Thanks again Wyld.
Sniff. The lone LI'er.
