Wow, last night was the first time I ever had garden fresh broccoli. So delicious and fresh, much better then from the store. I also had some swiss chard, yummy stuff. Hope everyone else enjoys eating their garden as much as they enjoy working their garden.

That's amazing Little Thumb! I can't wait to harvest something from my garden. I'm thinking some time in the next week or so I should be able to harvest some baby greens. Yum!

Any harvests yet? Empty Soon to harvest turnips.

I am looking forward to some turnips soon, they are still a little small. Very rewarding to be able to eat your own harvest.

I've been snipping spinach leaves!
I like to layer them in my turkey (or buffalo chicken) wraps.....sooo good!

That's the only thing that's ready, but it makes gardening fun when you can harvest a little something early.

Hey Trust! good to read you, missed you.

CILANTRO. I snipped cilantro last night and got just enough to make an "oh yum" dressing for fish tacos. I also plucked lettuce and a couple of early carrots for the salad that goes into a fish taco from my SFG (way over in the Pacific Northwest, so maybe that doesn't count in this thread??). I finished the plate with sweet onion thinnings I found at the farmers market.

Meanwhile I've been cooking Swiss Chard and finding new ways to serve it. Tonight it will be featured in a dish with Soba noodles and French lentils next to a lemon chicken that uses fresh oregano and lemon thyme (both fresh from the herb garden), and lavender (the last of last year’s harvest).

Spinach, bok choi (done for the season), radishes and a few pea vine tips.

Deborah ....thanks for asking

Harvested from two broccoli plants that were delicious last week and are currently working on their two "side-heads." I've pulled radishes and two days ago picked my first full salad (two salads worth) of lettuce from my various leaf lettuces, spinach, beet greens and swiss chard.

I've been harvesting chive flowers for vinegar for weeks, mint for tea for a month or so, and chives/mint for my salad Tuesday.

About 12 strawberries over the past 3 days (in total). I gave 2/3rds of my plants away since transplanting to a box and I'm so tempted to pick the berries off the gifted plants. Any harvests yet? Icon_tongue

I just planted last week so will be a while, but the sprouting lettuce, spinich, green beans, pea pods and basil make my heart flutter. Smile Got my trellis materials today, so that is my project for tomorrow. (Well, later today!)

We've finished up our lettuce season already and also had about 10 radishes that were pretty good. I pulled 3 pretty yellow onions the other day and cut 2 brocolli heads today so the inchworms didn't get it. Lil buggars are hungry hehe. Looks like I'll have another handfull of onions tomorrow too.

Already harvested tons of spinach and pulled it out because it was starting to bolt. Red leaf lettuce still going strong - have harvested massive amounts, too much to eat it all really - I am shading it and the romaine and iceberg lettuce with beach umbrellas on very hot days. Have had lots and lots of green onions - staggered planting them, so still have plentry more coming. Had some cilantro in a guacamole dip yesterday. Radishes were all harvested weeks ago. Have some fingerling carrots ready to harvest. Brocolli Rabe pulled out a few weeks ago and I froze most of that for future use. Strawberries from the earth box are really starting to produce and the sugar snaps are almost ready. It's been my most successful garden ever so far. Hope everyone has as much success as I have this year. One thing I did was get started planting the cool weather crops in very early March. I think that made a huge difference.

I've had a tomato and a small pepper (store bought plants) with several radishes (from seeds). Looks like my high nitrogen top soil is only good for root crops. I've lost my peas to the burning of the soil. Now my garden with Mel's mix is doing fine. It's been two weeks and the flowers and vegies are slowly growing nicely in the proper soil mix.

I had a good harvest of radishes which are now done. Am beginning to harvest lettuce, spinach and Swiss chard. Peas have blooms but no peas as yet. I hope to get the tomatoes, peppers, herbs and first planting of beans done this week. Had planned on doing that today but we are getting some much needed rain.

I have had:
3 strawberries, 4 (or 5?) harvests of lettuce and spinach, a full square of radishes, starting on the second square, a head of broccoli and my herbs are about ready to start taking some off to use.
Sugar snap peas are blooming, one tiny tomato has formed, several more broccoli on its way to being picked soon.
