Biointensive Gardening: Small Spaces, Big Harvests
An interesting article on Dave's Garden site titled, "Biointensive Gardening: Small Spaces, Big Harvests". The article intro sums up the concept: "Whether your garden is rural, suburban, or urban, discontinuing the row method of planting and using some or all of the components of biointensive gardening can help you succeed when growing a garden in a small space. This concept is about more than having a few containers on your patio or deck. If done correctly, it allows you to grow more food in less space and possibly reduce your household food budget in the process."

"In short, the soil food web feeds everything you eat and helps keep your favorite planet from getting too hot. Be nice to it." ~ Diane Miessler, "Grow Your Soil"
