Victory Garden Reboot
The Ohio State University has teamed with a couple seed companies to distribute free garden seeds to those in need, calling it Ohio Victory Gardens. Sounds like a good idea!

Yep, not only did Grand Rapids have the country's first hydro-electric plant, built in 1881, but they developed their very own leaf lettuce which was developed to handle the cool or warm, damp, and low light conditions that the lettuce would endure in the shipping process. How's that for the city known as "Furniture City", since it is the world leader in production of office furniture.

Also, first city in the U.S. to Fluoridate their water. Not sure how the lettuce feels about that.
