raised bed quanders
I put leaves onto the top of the raised bed last year.
Now this year I am wondering if I need to try and incorporate them into the soil or dig them back out and then add any dirt or ammendments I may need.
I am getting my bed soil tested right now so I know what to add .
my compost bin which is mostly an open bin did nothing for me. I am questioning whether I will ever get any compost. also it is very hard to turn. so heavy and hard to get into. anyone else have this problem and what do they do .
I am wondering if I should take the bin off of the pile and just leave the pile in the yard to do whatever and get rid of my bin because I am not happy with it. Also this year I have a new tumbler which I think I will be much more happier with.

Over the winter months, the leaves should have composted down to where you can just plant through them, and enjoy their mulch.
Do you have the beds filled with Mel's Mix? If so, no amendments are needed, and "soil testing" is a waste of money and not reliable. Soil tests only look at plant-available nutrients, and in a microbial rich mixture such a Mel's Mix, the nutrients are not yet plant ready.
