when to harvest onions

I have been square foot gardening for 15 years, and this is the first time that I have planted onions. So I have a question about harvesting them. I have read that when the leaves fall over and start to turn yellow, then the onions can be harvested. I just wanted to verify this with you all. I have attached a picture of what it looks like today.
. Do they look like they are ready? Is there any harm in waiting? Thanks in advance!

With onions, I wait until they re completely done growing; so until the visible parts are brown and over. This is for storing type onions.
