Got my new Square Foot Gardening book and I'm eager to plant.

I will be setting up my new raised bed as soon as my friend finds me the best option for the ends. The sides will be 2 slightly blemished panels from a new garage door. Consequently it will be a bit longer than my current raised beds which are the usual 4x8. I need to figure out how to add hoops to make it a shade house for my greens and perhaps some type of screening to keep out the squirrels and neighborhood kitties. They do like the soft soil in my current raised beds.
