Totally thrilled with my SFG...
This is my first SFG and things are already looking very good. Gave up trying to grow broccoli and cauliflower years ago as they just didn't do well in my row garden, but look at em now.... Was totally thrilled with what they are doing ...
Broccoli nearly 2 inches across...
Cauliflower about the same...
Got onions, garlic, leaf lettuce, arugula, spinach, carrots, brussels sprouts, a couple of tomatoes, and will plant a straight neck squash and rutabagas when a little warmer. May get a little crowded but stuff on back row will be trained up on poles.
Having fun...

Wow! That looks really great! When did you plant your broccoli/cauliflower? Amazing that they're already heading. I'll compare notes with my purple cauliflower (which grows more like a cross between broccoli and cauliflower). Those onions look great -- I have to try onions again!

Re: Totally thrilled with my SFG...
They have been in the SFG about 6 weeks. Had to cover them with flower pots a few times due to hard freeze. Can't be seen but there is a brussels sprout on back row behind the cauliflower that is starting to put on some little sprouts...markqz wrote:Wow! That looks really great!
