Thank you Marie. It started out wonderful at 4pm my time yesterday afternoon as being born in England it is midnight there so I immediately had several e-cards in my mailbox.

Just like New Year's Day I always have a 32 hour birthday. Today I have a birthday lunch at noon with some close friends, in the local Wandering Greek Oven, and tomorrow I will take part in our Women's Centre Birthday Cake for February birthdays. I think my birthday will be the nearest date.

I must admit that as each year passes some people will have gone but that is the same for everyone. But as I have written before, there are new people in my life, my brother and his family who I will be joining some time this coming year in England.

Still battling my stuff that needs to be sold or given away. I am sorry that I will not be able to take any gardening tools or seeds with me, but my dear brother has promised me that he will help in setting up new SFG beds when we finally settle on where we are all going to live.

One thing I will be taking with me is my SFG Book that started me on this type of gardening many years ago, and in addition I will never leave this Forum so I will still be in touch when I have left Canada and gone to live in England. It may take a little longer than I hope, but I will make it eventually and may be there is a break in setting things up.

Between us we have five houses to sell and two houses to buy, the two houses to be within walking distance of each other. Compact garden space for me, with possible small green house and in the winter grow lights and all that is needed.

I am really looking forward to it all but it sure is a hard slog getting rid of 23 years accumulation of "things". Looking on the bright side at least no one now will have to clear out my stuff if I stay in Canada.

I had a lovely birthday day lunch followed by a siesta. I had asked for no presents, but anyone insisted, make theme edible so that I would not have to dispose of anything. Worked a treat. It was the same at Christmas time as I was trying to get rid of everything. With the leftover pizza I should not starve for a few days.
