Does anyone have any idea how to root clematis or honeysuckle or if it is even possible to do so from a sprig about a foot long? I have them in water and they are just sitting there. (only for 2 days but patience is not a virtue I possess

I have a small bottle of rootone root stimulator that i've been experimenting with. I've heard good things about it, but this is my first year actually trying it out.

Post  Ha-v-v 5/22/2010, 9:23 am

I am going to do the same and take honeysuckle cuttings. I want to have the front part of our properties fence to be covered in it. I have found these two links below and will try them both. I even found a place that said go to the wild plant and go to the roots and take it from there, the last link. I dont know which method I will try the most, but I am going to the main plant and take some roots too. It was wild here when we started clearing the property we found it and I had some volunteer near my entry gate, one plant down many more to go Smile

Hope this helps
