Water Additive for Cuttings?

Water Additive for Cuttings?
I root a lot of cuttings. Right now it's figs and sweet potatoes. It doesn't seem like plain water would contain enough nutrients for the month or more it takes to get these babies ready to plant. Do you guys put something in the water when you root cuttings?
Re: Water Additive for Cuttings?
I don't root figs, but with the sweet potato slips I just use water. I refresh the water every day or two. I don't typically keep the slips in the water for a month, though. As soon as the roots are over an inch long, I'm ready to plant them.

Same here, but that takes about a month for me. I never thought about changing the water.OhioGardener wrote:I don't root figs, but with the sweet potato slips I just use water.
