Using a Dill head in a recipe
I'm new to pickling, but I know we have lots of members that pickle. When I pickled my beans the first time, the recipe called for a spring of dill. That was easy, but some recipes call for a dill head. Do they mean use the dill head when it is flowering or use the dill head when the seeds are forming?
Right now my dill heads are still flowering.

After reading a few articles online, I've come to the conclusion that the Seeds are the most desirable for pickling. But hey, if your cucumbers are ready and the dill is in flower, sacrifice a little dill taste for the sake of preserving the cukes
