Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Darn it! I think I saw a mosquito flying around me on only April 19th! April 19, 2019, had June-like humidity and sogginess!
I could see a record high monthly rain tally! Possibly 5" before April is over!

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Far-below-average temps forecasted for April 26, 2019, will feel more like a normal March or a normal early-April! At least nearly 20 degrees below average for Springfield, Vermont!
camprn, the same for Keene, New Hampshire.

In the 90's until Monday. Next week it should bounce around 80 and give the new little starts a breather.

The flooding in the Ottawa Valley is getting worse and has not yet peaked.
Thankfully we are not near any of the area that are suffering from the rising waters.

Been there, done that. Glad you're not in danger.

As the Spanish speakers say, probably would be this:RJARPCGP wrote:Far-below-average temps forecasted for April 26, 2019, will feel more like a normal March or a normal early-April! At least nearly 20 degrees below average for Springfield, Vermont!

Mañana, temperaturas de mierda, solo en los años 40 como marzo!
And me, specifically:
¡no me encantan las temperaturas de mañana!

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
The City of Ottawa has declared a state of emergency due to flooding conditions. The military is helping out and people are being evacuated from homes along the Ottawa River. This city covers a huge urban and rural area totaling over 1000 square miles. The flooding is not near our house. The video (from a couple of days ago) says evacuation has not yet started. That is no longer true. Residents in an area along the river about 35 minutes from us have been told to evacuate.

Same here and it came in over an hour early and caught me at Katie's, emptying compost. I had to run home dodging raindrops and didn't get to check the garden beds. I'll bet the worms are having a feast on my new kale.Scorpio Rising wrote:Raining....again.
Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
It's official. Here in Ottawa, Canada we have had the coldest Spring in 50 years. So much for global warming but it could be the other one, that is climate change. I'll go with the Earth doing its weather thing as designed.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
We have rain scheduled for 7 of the next 8 days. Our nights are back down in the 40s and low 50s. This weather is insane. This really is literally Climate Change!
Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Too much rain for May. Ruined the cherry crops and cut hay drying in the field.
Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Rainy and cool.
This growing season may turn out to be a short one. I'm afraid that crop shortages loom, especially because of the situation in the Midwest, not to mention Europe.

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
I just saw this on CNN:
CNN wrote:For the first time in two years, forecasters have issued their most dire warning for the risk of catastrophic tornadoes.
The target: parts of the Texas Panhandle and Oklahoma, which is also marking the sixth anniversary of a tornado that pulverized the city of Moore, killing 24 people.
Over 2 million people are in harm's way as the the National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center issued a threat level 5 out of 5 for violent tornadoes Monday.
Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?

Re: How's the Weather Where You're At?
Looking great here for the rest of this week with highs in 68 to 77F range and lows in the high 40s and 50s. Looks like we skipped Spring.

Kind of like Spring here in Ohio. Last year it was on a Tuesday, this year it was on Thursday.....
