Hello from Northern Ontario Eh!
Cant say for sure how I got the sudden interest to start a veggie garden, but I quickly found this forum and the SFG method. I haven't stopped reading and researching for the better part of a week.
What a great resource this board is, and everyone seems to be ready willing and able to help.
Greetings from the North!

Welcome, 21Actual! You will be so happily surprised by this wonderful method of gardening! Try to get your hands on a copy of All New Square Foot Gardening, libraries have them. It is a great resource especially getting started!21Actual wrote:Cant say for sure how I got the sudden interest to start a veggie garden, but I quickly found this forum and the SFG method. Re: Hello from Northern Ontario Eh!
Purchased the book through Amazon a few days ago and have already read it front to back.
I got myself a plan. Will be starting a thread shortly to document my plans and progress come spring.

Hi there 21Actual. Welcome to this wonderful forum from Ottawa. Looking forward to seeing (photos please) and reading about your plans and progress. Northern Ontario is huge ... would you like to narrow down your location for us (or PM me and I'll keep it quiet ).

No too concerned with keeping it a secret, but I'm not about to post address either. I'm in the Espanola area (thats west of Sudbury)

Great thanks. We drove through that area a couple of years ago on our way to Sault Ste Marie (Ontario) and then the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.21Actual wrote:No too concerned with keeping it a secret, but I'm not about to post address either. I'm in the Espanola area (thats west of Sudbury)
Looks like you are doing some nice work on your SFG.

Actual, Welcome to the Forum from mid California!
So glad you have read the book before starting. If you have any questions or need clarification, we are here. And, we love photos.
Adding "Hispanola" or "west of Sudbury" will help folks understand your climate and gardening conditions. Thanks

My computer is blocking photos/charts on your other post, My First Attempt. And, in general, is not liking me to even open the thread. ??
Re: Hello from Northern Ontario Eh!
Very strange. I can see the photos no issue. I believe others could as well. They are hosted on cubeupload.comsanderson wrote:My computer is blocking photos/charts on your other post, My First Attempt. And, in general, is not liking me to even open the thread. ??
I tried to attach multiple pictures through the forum but was having issues so i uploaded them to cubeload and linked them.

Hello to Northern Ontario
I just met my second cousins two summers ago. They live in Massey. You probably know where that is. I am new here too.
