Hi Annie! Thanks for sharing so many pictures. I'm all the way over in central Pennsylvania, so I can't help you much in terms of gardening in terms of climate, but I wanted to say: Welcome!

Hi Annie, Any update photos? I've been thinking of you and how you are doing.

Same here. I bought puny mail-order strawberry plants last year -- no wonder they died. This year I bought big, healthy strawberries from a good local nursery and they are looking good. I also started my onions from store-bought starts. Growing them from seed wasn't worth the frustration. Live and learn.

It took 2 tries for me to get green onions to germinate, and I couldn't keep a strawberry alive if someone paid me!

Hi Annie! Missed welcoming you! Enjoyed your little novel, lol, and the pics. I think you are well on your way to becoming a gardener!
Make adjustments, we all have to ongoingly. Keep notes! I keep a planning note and an actual what happened note!
Your home gardens looking good, the community bed has tons of potential! And no HOA. Keep trying different plants, amendments, the soil mix actually looks pretty nice. Give it time, it takes some.
So glad you are here!
And your regional forum will be a great help to you, with similar growing conditions, varieties, etc.
PS, last year, I had 3 of 16 green onion seeds germinate. This year, growing Egyptian Walking Onions from Judy on this site! They are superheroes!
