Hello from NE Georgia
Hi all from Cumming, GA. I finally broke down and bought the SFG book. After many years of row gardening, this book really resonated with me and I am excited to get started. Thanks in advance for the info I know this forum will provide!

Welcome from another Georgian. I am in Brooks about 25 miles south of the Atlanta Airport. My daughter attended North Georgia College and had some classes up in Gainesville. I used to audit banks and audited a few in Gainesville many years ago.

from Kelejan

I am happy to hear you have broken down and bought the book and excited about another way of gardening. You will not regret it.
I had the original book on my shelf, the 1984 version, for umpteen years until I retired,
Luckily for me I went on to the Internet the day before I started digging to see if there was a site devoted to this book and there was. I discovered that there was a more recent book that was quite a bit advanced on the original and it saved me a ton of work, not having to did into my rock plateau.
Now I thoroughly enjoy growing things to eat and it keeps me fit as well. My first year I grew enough salad stuff to keep me going through the summer so the I got hooked.

Hi Joe and WELCOME. We'd love to see some pics when you get the garden going. I'm just getting back into SFG after many years. Since I last posted, I have put in 3 rain barrels and my SFG is doing great. I'll be posting pics later.

Re: Hello from NE Georgia
Hi Joe. I did not get to welcome you the first time around. So... welcome to the Forum! I am just beginning my fourth spring and I've enjoyed SFG very much. I have a VERY small operation in Fayetteville, GA, and SFG has helped me to maximize my return when it comes to space.
I think you will enjoy your time here. I've learned a lot. Once in a while a can contribute to discussions, but I really end up learning much more from this site than anything I can add. I wish you much success and enjoy your garden!

Welcome to the forum from Newnan, Ga. You'll end up multiplying those boxes! Be sure to use quality compost and if possible start you own 'cooking'.

Hi Joe, Welcome to the Forum from CA!
All New Square Foot Gardening is a wonderful way to garden. Makes it actually fun. Be forewarned though, it can be so addicting!
