My MAY garden

There are about 30 cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower plants starting to form hearts.
A couple of months ago I also planted about 15 winter variety tomatos as an experiment. The seeds were from Europe and are supposed to ripen in cold weather. They are now about a metre tall and have flowers and small fruit starting to appear. Looking good at the moment.
We rarely buy any vege's any more other than potatoes as the garden is so productive.
I hope your SFG is doing the same for you.

Hello, Down Under
Great post, Ray. Remember to post again in mid-July and send us cool thoughts when we're broiling under 100+ temps.
I'm really interested in your winter tomatoes. Do they continue to grow in spite of cold temperatures, or do their fruits keep longer in storage? Please let us know how they turn out in regards to flavor and keeping qualities. How much cold will they tolerate?
Two years ago I grew a variety called Long Keeper which was supposed to keep well in storage. Maybe I did something wrong, but mine were hard and flavorless. I'd love to find a tomato variety that would withstand an early frost or two, or at least keep well in storage.
