canning apple pie?
In the checkout line at the store, I overheard a woman talking about baking mini apple pies in 4 oz canning jars and putting the lid on right after taking it out of the oven. Apparently she makes dozens of them and ships them off to her son in the army. She bought 6 cases of jars. I didn't have the opportunity to ask her questions, so I wondered if anyone in the forum had done this. I'm curious how this is done and how long the storage time is.

Oh boy... you probably should have talked to that woman in the store... I have never done it, but I bet the shelf life isnt all that long...
