TO early?
Is it too early to sow cucumber seeds into garden. South Jersey area.

Look for the soil (not the air) to reach 70 degrees.
The best way to get information like this that is tailored to your particular zip code is to contact your local master gardener's program, or your local university extension service, which will likely refer you to the MG people. They should be both online and in the phone book.
The extra detail they can give you can be very helpful -- like not just which plants but which varieties grow especially well, local sources of organic compost, which bugs and diseases are especially bad in your area and what to do about it, etc.
