Plants under lights
Bok Choy looking for some light. In this case, two F5 standard bulbs.
I suppose I should rotate the pots everyday so the plants bend back the other way.
There's been no heat damage on this lettuce growing under an old T12 horseshoe shaped bulb.
After harvesting a few meals.
Do you have some interesting pictures of plants under lights to share?

Re: Plants under lights
Boffer, I just love your lettuce. Did you grow this to eat over the winter?

Re: Plants under lights
This is one of the pots that I started in the fall in the greenhouse in hopes of getting it to over-winter there. I chickened out in December during a cold spell, and brought the lettuce and spinach indoors.
But I have been experimenting with some winter indoor growing of lettuce, spinach, and chard. The cost of electricity makes it about a break-even harvest, but it helps keep cabin fever at bay!

Boffer, I saw relatively small bunches of common curly kale at the local Safeway for $3.99 a bunch. Didn't appear a bargain to my mind, but a real reason to grow kale under lights! Nonna
