Best place to purchese seed starting supplies, online or Dallas area.
I am venturing to start all my vegetables from seed this year and am looking to buy all supplies needed.
Can anyone recommend a place either online, or in the Dallas area to purchase trays, seed heat mats etc?
Also, even after a lot of research, I can't decide if I should buy the 72, 50, or 32 tray inserts. With my schedule I can not devote a lot of time to gardening so don't want to have to do a lot of transferring to larger pots if not necessary.
Can anyone offer advise on this? I have 5 4x8 beds.
Thank you

North Haven Gardens in Dallas will either have it or can get it for you. They also do classes and can answer all your questions.

Best place to buy seed start supplies
Hi canada6827,
Welcome to the forum.
It looks like you're about an hour from North Haven Gardens - so they are a good resource. I also buy supplies online and from Lowes and Home Depot.
For me, peat pellets are the quickest and easiest way to start seeds. I purchased a HUGE box on eBay for very little money so I have them on hand when I need them. I think they cost $.06 each. It means I have to pot up once, but the offset is I don't have to waste time with small cells of seedling starting mix and plants that are way too close together to leave in the cells until ready to put in the garden.
When I first start seeds, I put the pellets in half-size trays that have tall humidity-dome covers and hold 15 pellets each. (I bought some online and some at Walmart and Lowes.) That lets me start just a few plants or separate my seeds by type, and two trays fit nicely on a heat mat.
When I pot up, I put the seedlings on larger trays or open bottom nursery trays. (Most garden centers are happy to give you their open bottom trays since they throw them out anyway.)
Here are some online sources I've used:
