The start of an obsession!
Over the weekend, my wonderful husband built me a 3x4 SFG on legs. I think he did a great job!
We filled it Mel's Mix and made a grid out of 1x1 cedar nailing strips.
I planted some seeds and we're just about ready to go!
I just have a few seedlings in the house that I need to harden off and plant in their squares and wait for everything to grow. I'm so excited!

Looks great! Can't wait to see your progress, we're in the same zone I think. It's soo hard to wait isn't it? I'm about to go crazy. I have a giant pot of carrots in the kitchen that I planted in February just to see some green! What are you growing?

Re: The start of an obsession!
I think the question is, what am I not growing? LOL!
Let's see...
bush beans (already planted)
sugar pumpkin (seedling in house)
eggplant (seedling in house)
onion (seedlings in house)
green onion (seedlings in house)
leek (seedlings in house)
leaf lettuce (already planted)
mini butterhead lettuce (already planted)
spinach (already planted)
broccoli x2 (my seedlings died, so I planted directly in the box)
carrots (already planted)
That's just in my 3x4. I also have 4 topsy turvys that I'm planting tomatoes (already planted and covered with a blanket at night so it doesn't get a chill), peppers, cucumbers and strawberries.
Phew! So much for starting small.
I really want to plant potatoes, but I don't really want to add too much more my first year, so I may wait until next year for those.
How about you? What are you planting?
