Hoop House or Solar Green House

Anyone in the North using a Hoop House or Solar Green house?

What are your experiences w/ the snow and the roof? I'm really hoping I can keep the snow off the roof - between my husband and I we should be able to handle it.

In my experience the snow just slides off a hoop house. Be sure to take the shade cloth this fall though!
This will be my first year with the double rigid walled greenhouse but I foresee no problems with snow staying on its roof. The roof is very smooth and rather steep so the snow should just slide off.

Last winter, my little homemade hoop house accumulated an inch or three of snow, which I believe helped insulate things from the cold. I'd left two layers of frost cloth on the frame, as well, and everything held up nicely.

Of course, we didn't receive much of the white stuff last season.
