Arkansas Traveler are easy to find. Burpee, Baker Creek, Sustainable Seeds, Annie's Heirlooms, etc.

Re: The National Heirloom Exposition - Sept in CA
I think I am the only one who has attended, twice! Of course, I'm only 5 hours or so from Santa Rosa. One year, we visited Baker Creek Seed Company near Mansfield, MO, and of course, the Baker Creek Seed Bank in Petaluma, CA. Baker Creek is a major supporter of the Heirloom Exposition.

I've been there twice, too!
Here are some of my best pictures from last year.
I grew this gourd last year and I'm still waiting for them to dry. They are big gigantic gourds! One plant gave me four good size gourds.
This was the biggest pumpkin I have ever seen! I learned they "rent" these giant pumpkins to restaurants or festivals to attract people to their businesses.
I thought this would be a great watermelon to grow since I read you could dry-farm it. I don't know a thing about dry-farming but I'm thinking it would require less water and in our changing California climate, this watermelon may be the one to grow in the future.
I still have not decided whether I will be going to this year's Heirloom festival, but it was a great experience. I also liked their Dahlia flower displays.
