In your area you should be able to get the Black Kow products, Black Kow, Black Hen (technically a fertilizer, but I use it as one of my 5 when doing just commercial stuff) and their brand of mushroom compost. I just discovered Black Kow and Black Hen on Lowe's website. Their mushroom seems to be hard to find, and that's the one that troubles me. I don't know who has a good mushroom compost.walshevak wrote:

Regarding Blueridge, I saw their "super compost" at my co-op, but the ingredients were vague. Makes me a little apprehensive.

If you cannot easily find mushroom compost forget about it, it really is not a superior component. Check your local craigslist in the farm and garden section.
Also, to reiterate, fertilizer (chickity doo doo, etc) is not compost.
