Green beans not so green
Hi, was wondering if anyone knows whats up with my green bean leaves. The color on the leaves are a yellowish green and the leaves and vine ends are comming out all shrively, the older leaves have brown spots and holes in them. Here are some pics:
The rest of the plants seem to fairly problem free other than an abundance of tiny red ant (treating with diatomaceous earth, and slugs, maybe some catepillars (sluggo). Any suggestions on the beans? Thanks

compost mix
It's been awhile since I mixed the MM, think it was chicken manure, steer manure and 3 different types of "blended" compost that just list a variety of things they are made from. I went to the local nursery and one sales rep told me the leaf problem was mites and another one, the "expert" they called up to talk to me, said it just needs fertilizer and pointed me to a packaged fertilizer. I am making some compost tea and will start giving them some of that tomorrow instead of fertilizer.

What kind of insects have you found on this plant?
Also if the leaves with the brown spots are at the very bottom of the vine, they may have reached the end of their usefulness and are just dying but not the main vine.

Re: Green beans not so green
I have found with my beans that were just a bit pale, that I added extra compost around each bean plant and they quickly darkened up.
I find that if the plants are extremely healthy they can withstand a lot of insects.
Do you neighbours use roundup? Mine do and I bought a sign that says "organic home do not spray! Chemical trespass will be prosecuted!
