re: Welcome to the forum
Welcome to the forum! This is my first year with Mels All New Square Foot Gardening. I had tried his method many years ago and liked the results. I have since moved (and gotten older) and decided I would container garden because of the hard work involved in making the soil good enough. Mels Mix has made it alot easier to try my hand at vegetable gardening again and as a plus raised beds make it easier to take care of the garden. Im also learning alot from the people on this forum (They are very nice IMO).

Always nice to have a new member
Hi Service Proz,
Welcome to this highly informative forum. I am a complete novice. This is my first year using SFG method (actually, first year planting a garden period).
I have learned much from the very experienced gardeners who post answers to all questions.
I feel very much at home here, and I know you will too.
Enjoy your garden!

Re: hello from serviceproz
Welcome to SFG. This is my first year and I have found this site to be helpful to beginners. It might help if you could describe the weather in the that region. How cold are the winters? Snow? How hot are the summers? Windy seasons? What obstacles do you face?
