Transplanting lettuce and spinach during freeze? Empty Transplanting lettuce and spinach during freeze?

Post  NHGardener 4/20/2013, 4:25 pm

It's time (well, a little past time) to transplant my lettuce and spinach. But it's going to be a cold snap into the mid-20s the next 2 nights. Should I wait? I don't want them to freeze.

I just planted out baby chard, onions and then thinned/transplanted my spinach, but we're only going to mid 30's. At 20's I would wait. You could do a few now for an experiment, that way you'll know forever more. I'll bet you have extras... Wink

How did you know I had extras? darn funny

I just looked at the weather and now they're saying 30 tonight, 28 tomorrow night. Wish they'd make up their minds. I'm thinking I might go for it.
