Rice Hulls
Hey guys n gals, another question..I was at the feed store the other day and they had a few bags of rice hulls..I remembered reading something about the hulls as an alternative and or replacement for perlite or vermiculite..Has anyone here used rice hulls instead of vermiculte in raised beds?..Or for potting mix for that matter?.
I purchased a 6cuft bag for ~$10.00 which I used to ammend a potting mix I had, since I was running low on perlite...
Thoughts/opinions anyone? TIA..
