My plant stands are getting so crowded that it seemed easiest to take each flat of green onion seedlings out of the stand to a shelf to give a haircut. Well, I missed and dumped a flat of six cells of 5" tall seedlings on the floor. While I gently picked them up, my wife moistened some more starter mix (our Mel's Mix is arriving in a couple days) and then gently replanted the seedlings into it just a tad deeper than they were. Roots were easily 1 to 2 inches long so they are well down into the mix. So now they are moist and back under the lights. I don't know if they wll survive all flopped over as they are but I didn't want to shock them more by still giving those a haircut. If they survive I will do that in a few days.

Crossing my fingers I guess the next few days should tell.

On the flip side,we just munched on a few of the cuttings, and they were very yummy. I am counting that as my first 'harvest' from our new garden, even if the 'garden' is still just the indoor seedlings.
